Dover City Schs., et al, No. 16-CV-01154 (E.D.OH. 2016)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Ohio Immigrant Workers Project <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timesreporter.com\/story\/news\/courts\/2017\/08\/08\/dover-schools-settles-lawsuit-filed\/19983227007\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">filed a class action lawsuit against the Dover City, OH school district<\/a> alleging the District failed to educate and systematically discriminated against Latino students, violating their civil rights under 42 U.S.C. Sect. 1983.\u00a0 Plaintiffs alleged that Dover school administrators gave inadequate instruction to English Language Learner students and falsified records tracking which teachers taught those students. Plaintiffs further allege that the students were actively encouraged to drop out.
